Learn about the sport of Dragon Boating and DragonSports. DragonSports is a nonprofit organization supporting the health and well-being of our members.
Whether you're new to the sport or just looking for a team to join, the good news is that you've got many choices. Here's where you'll get the information you need to start your paddling journey.
DragonSports also has a couple of 6-person Outrigger canoes (OC-6) that we rent out to Hawaii Five-O aficionados and anyone who'd like to paddle in something other than a dragon boat.
DragonSports is a legally organized non-profit corporation under Oregon law, and is a registered 501(c)(3) corporation with the IRS. Donations to DragonSports are tax deductible to the extent provided by law and regulation.
Some DragonSports teams participate in Rose Festival, but the races are organized by the Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association (PKSCA), not DragonSports USA.
If you'd like to get a leg-up on Rose Festival, many teams practice year-round in Hong Kong-style dragon boats with DragonSports USA. Contact us and we'll try to connect you with a team.
